Jazz Jennings is an activist, artist, author, and TV star. She has received numerous awards and other recognitions, including being selected by TIME magazine as one of the Top 25 Most Influential Teens of 2014. An outstanding spokesperson and champion for equal rights, she said, “I am honored to represent the voice of transgender children, many of whom are too afraid to speak on their own.”
Jeanette Jennings, Jazz’s mom, is an advocate and spokesperson in her own right. Co-founder of the TranKids Purple Rainbow foundation, she works tirelessly on behalf of trans youth across the United States and around the world. But first and foremost, Jeanette is an incredibly loving and supportive mom who always has her daughter’s back.
Greg Jennings, Jazz’s dad, is an attorney and co-founder of the TransKids Purple Rainbow Foundation. Like Jeanette, he is a very loving, accepting, and protective parent. Greg has put his legal skills to good use fighting for Jazz’s rights, and the rights of transgender kids everywhere.
Ari (Arial) Jennings, Jazz’s big sister and role model, attends college, and is considering majoring in psychology or criminology. In her high school years she was lead singer of a rock band, a student leader, and salutatorian of her graduating class. Jazz and Ari remain very close.
Griffen and Sander Jennings are Jazz’s older twin brothers. They have always been accepting and supportive of Jazz, and are there to stand up for her at all times. Both boys are very active in sports, and set the bar high for Jazz to follow.
